All snowflakes are hexagons, the number 6 is very important in the life of a snowflake. There are no two snowflakes just alike. There are 100,000 cloud droplets in a single snowflake... think of that the next time you catch a snowflake on your mitten.

We are studying crystals this week and snowflakes are part of the plan. I will have to share this post with Asha. Beautiful giant flakes!
